agak lama x update blog. (lama kerrrrr). asyik2 x ada mood utk menulis. di rumah baki seminggu cuti digunakan utk mengganti puasa (sgt x sedar bulan rejab sudah dkt2 sampai ke penghujung). cptnya masa berlalu (I LIKE BTW!). so start 11 hb jun until 15 jun 2012 bersamaan 21 - 25 rejab 1433, sy bpuasa ganti puasa habis! seb baik dulu2 ada ganti sikit2. jd kali ni terus ganti 5 days on the row. di samping bpuasa ganti wajib, masukkn niat puasa sunat rejab juga.kalo mampu, bole la bpuasa lg pasni spy kurus sket tym raya.hoho. x pyh nk beriyeeeeeeeee. kena control makan la juga sbb malas mau pegi berjogging. mau pegi kalo ada kwn but sadly skg mcm x ada kwn yg ingin jog. uhuk2. susah sket mau jaga makan ni hostel sbb pagi g kelas, then balik dr kelas petang rsa penat (pdhal x tau apa sgt yg wat penat. sj ler tuuu cr alasan utk tdo petang). then malam menghadap lappy tgk series. skg mggu terawal d IP ni bole la tgk series. next week sudah start intern sebulan. lps tu kena FOKUS wat kajian tindakan. fuuhhh fuuhhh sabar! sabar! bulan oktober (dijadualkan 1 hingga 5 okt) seminar pembentangan penyelidikan tindakan, then wat pemurnian, then submit full A.R. sabarrrrrrrrrr! 

tipu la kalo kata x malas pegi intern. malassss sgt sebenarnya. kena start g skola awallll pagi lg mcm praktikum dulu. kena wat tiga projek besar utk skola, n dlm masa yg sama kena tgk2 kajian mana2 yg plu diperbaiki lompang sana sini. (sgt byk plu diperbaiki sbrnya). malas btl.. dan bbrp lg la sebab yg mybbkn sy MALAS GILA PEGI INTERN if only they know. FG'sS cant waitttt to finish this intern! (blm mula sudah mta cpt habis ahahahaahhahah). bkn setakat intern x sabar hbs, juga pengajian di IP ni. cukup la smua ni. x sabar utk meloloskan diri dr perasaan ini. smoga dipmudahkan sglnya fuhhhh skali lagi, SABAR!!

 ohhh ini anugerah my dad dpt waktu hari guru d skola dia 15 jun lepas. anugerah2 ni dipertandingkn n murid2 akan vote guru2 pilihan mereka. tahniah to daddy sbb dpt anugerah guru lelaki plg smart (term smart ni bukan bijak tp pakaian/penampilan kemas). well behind every smart man there's a woman. siapa lg kalo bkn my mom yg jaga makan pakai dad. iron baju suar keja daddy selalu. hihihi smpaikn my dad sudah x biasa tauuu pakai baju kusut2. pastu kalo sy iron baju daddy mst got complained iron x lurus. only mom knows how to iron cantik2. (kena blajar lebih sbb nanti kena iron baju suami ni *AMINNN.doakn k*.hewhewww harap2 encik bakal somi x cerewet as my dad dgn kekemasan baju suar dia).

for anugerah 'guru penyayang', well x plu ulas pjg lah kn. father figure ada di mana2 ;) :)

 dan yg ini antara barang2 yg sy plu bw balik ke hostel. haihhhh balikkkkkkkk Amerika ker bangggg. (ada lg alat excerise di snaaaa -_- pdhal x penah guna pn. wat penat usung sana sini). beg besar tu penuh baju2. beg hijau penuh tudung/shawls. raga hijau penuh mknn. sgl kipas, segala kasut, smua lain2 beg. GRRRGGHHH mmg x bole sudah ubah habit suka bw barang byk2 pdhal x guna pun smua. ni baru 1/8 barang2 sy d asrama. bygkn baki 7/8 yg sy kena kemas tu lagi d asrama. urghhhhhh~~~~~ rsau dgn pkmbgn diri sendiri.

btw balik asrama pd 17 jun 2012 di sambut dgn keadaan asrama yg pts bekalan air. mmg sandi lah kannn! kena packing barang mcm baru pelajar baru (sbb wkt cuti kena kosongkn bilik sbb pelajar KDC akan masuk), kena kemas bilik yg berhabuk2 spt 5 abad ditinggalkn, pastu ASRAMA TAK ADA AIR PULAKKK. tensi. mula2 bertahan lagi, tp masuk hari isnin bekalan air blm ada, so me and my friends (mula2 tiga org kwn pastu bertambah sorang which make us 5 in total) decided to stay at hotel. melampau ka? hahaha besttt bahhhh. murah pla tu. we stayed at Hotel Central II. murah! rm45 for a bed queen size (with no window). kalo ada window rm50 if im not mistaken but who needs window btw. ho! ho! jd kami separted to two. satu bilik 3 org, n the other room 2 org. sy tdo 3 org. jd kami cuma plu byr rm15 seorang (15x3=45). and sy rasa sgtttt berbaloi! mandi dgn puas, mandi dgn air panas pula tu, n tdo dgn aircond lg. hewhewwww. sukew lettewww~. sy mmg dasar x tahan cabaran x ada air kn. pastu tpkir kalo tahun dpn kena posted di tempat2 pedalaman yg x ada basic facilities such as clean water and electricity, mcm mana laaa sy ya? xkn kena kuar g cari hotel jugakkkk. ahhahahaha tp x kisah! x peduli! cuma bdoa sy x kena htr g tempat2 spt itu. tp kalo kena juga? well, sy positif bole melaluinya bcoz we never know how strong we are until being strong is the only choice left. lalalalala~

11 jun 2012, jam 1 pagi sehingga 3 pagi adalah wkt trauma dan cemas kpd keluarga sy dan keluarga jiran (uncle. tp uncle x ada d sna. cuma isteri anak2). x bole describe tp apa yg boleh disimpulkan ketakutan mlampau mybbkn badan seram sejuk, trembling body and hand, nafas sesak. indescribable!

tp, sy rsa x plulah tulis di sini.. trauma belum hilang. blm bsedia utk recall semula..biarlah....

Ya Allah, selamatkanlah kami sekeluarga. kami2 yg teraniaya ini. jauhkanlah kami dari sebarang gangguan jin, syaitan, iblis dan perbuatan khianat manusia. lindungilah kami Ya Allah. tiada daya dan kekuatan kami selain dpd mharap ptolongan dpd Mu Ya Allah. Engkau sebaik2 pelindung dan pemelihara.

itu adalah introduction utk entry. ya, titik2 tak bersambung. kenapa? entahlah. mgkn utk ekspresi perasaan saat ini. (sila interpretasi sendiri)

10 jun 2012 adalah hari terakhir cuti sekolah bagi semua skola2 rendah/menengah sluruh msia kcuali bbrp negeri spt klntn dan tganu yg tamat cuti lbh awal. 10 jun 2012 hari terakhir bersenang lenang sblm kembali ke sekolah. malas gilakn. haha. seb bek IP ada cuti tambahan seminggu. 

10 jun 2012, my other half pulang ke sarawak. 10 jun 2012 my kakak balik ke beluran, her hubby balik tawau. (sedih pmohonan pindah kakak x bjaya...huhu). ksian dia tgh pregnant, jauh dr suami. mgknkah sy juga bakal mhadapi situasi yg sama pd masa akan dtg....entahlah. mudah2an Allah mmpermudahkan urusan kami.

B balik Swak ikut jalan darat. as stated dlm status fb dia:  pjlnn from Swak start from matu + mukah + bintulu + miri + brunei + limbang + lawas. jadi kalo pulang Swak, pjlnn dia bmula Beaufort + Sipitang + Lawas + Limbang + Brunei + Miri + Bintulu + Mukah + Matu. mmg ambik masa dua hari sbb b gtau beaufort to bintulu dalam 8 jam, then bintulu tu Matu dalam 6 jam. sedihnya... jauh pjlnn B. 

Absence makes the heart grow fonder, but it sure makes the rest of you lonely. Since B keja, mmg susah sgt utk jumpa. lbh2 lg tmpt dia yg sgt jauh. jumpa weekends pun mmg x dapat. For the record, tahun ni baru bbrp kali jumpa B. sekali waktu sblm B jalan ke Swak (bulan januari), kedua waktu B balik bulan april dulu, and ketiga ada jumpa skali waktu cuti skola jun ni. tu pun sekejap sj. lps ni insya Allah kalo pjg umur, dpt jumpa waktu raya akn dtg. dua bulan lbh lagi.wuwuwuw sedihhhhh~x apa la, jarak ini yg mjaga diri kami sblm adanya ikatan yg halal. Allah sebaik2 perancang ;)

ok, wkt cuti ni tak ada aktiviti sgt pun yg sy wat. x ada g lari kompleks sukan lg. (HA! HA! HA! pemalas!!!! dasar hangat2 taik ayam). tp kitewwwww dh sket kurg berat badan okehhhhhhh. lalalala. hanya dgn mgurangkan makan, berat badan boleh menurun. yeyeyeyeye ;p

okeh, antara aktiviti yg bjaya dlakukn ialah mhadiri majlis kwn2 berkawin, g wat surat beranak sbb surat beranak sy misplace entah di mana. dokumen2 spt srt beranak, sijil spm, tawaran masuk IP tu smua AMAT penting utk temuduga SPP akan dtg. salah satu dokumen x lengkap, trus SPP x mau interview. tau apa akibatnya???? amatlah ngeri iaitu TIDAK MENDAPAT PENEMPATAN. maknanya x dpt keja. GILA???!! bertapa 5 tahun setengah di IP, hny d sbbkn x ada satu dokumen yg dplukan, dorg trus x kasi penempatan. mmg ngeri okey! dats y bila sy x jumpa my surat beranak, cpt2 sy g wat. x mahal. rm5 jerrww. siap pun dalam masa sehari ja. (tp mula2 sy isi borang then sminggu pastu baru dtg balik). hari sy antar borang tu, hari tu jg la siap my new surat beranak. x best S/B skg. besar gedabak saiz A4. hohoho tp x apala, yg penting, ada. hehe. then ada g jenjalan sekitar ranau dgn my sis and abg ipar. abg ipar sy mmg suka bjalan2. bgs! sy suka ituewwwwww. hehe.

selalu dgr org kata, kalo g majlis kawen bg org2 yg msh bujang sbg "ambik berkat". mintak2 la konon diri sendiri sampai jodoh dan cpt menamatkan zaman bujang juga, spt si pengantin. ihik2. btl ka tu? HOPEFULLY la kan! mmg mau g ambik berkat ni............hahahaha

smlm (2 jun), sy tlh mhadiri dua majlis pkahwinan kawan2. 1st, g majlis Dalin d Tambunan. (kira2 sejam dr ranau) with my two other friends, Ep and Tikah. and sudah berjanji dgn Zyan (and hubby) utk bjumpa d umah Dalin. alhamdulillah, sorang lg my ex-classmates tlh mendirikan masjid (pdhal Dalin sudah nikah april dulu. cuma lambat makan belanja.hihi). i am happy for her. akhirny dpt bersama with a person who really deserves her. Dalin is one of my good friends back when we were in high schools. start form 3 until 5, kami mmg duduk semeja, and we're shared many secrets including her love story. when we were in high school, Dalin ada boyfriend yg dia sgt3 syg and they dated for few years...long story shorts, they did not ended up together but for me, 'org' itu mmg x layak utk Dalin because she's too nice and deserves someone better. alhamdulillah, akhirnya bersama with her MR.RIGHT. happy for u again dear ;)

majlis kedua, my ex-classmates when i was form 5 too. Nemie or her nama manja 'Mimi'. according to my two other friends, Mimi and her hubby x bcinta dan djodohkn melalui keluarga. sooooooooooo sweeeeeettttttt kannnnn. bestnya sbb merasa nikmat bercinta slps berkahwin. sy pun kalo boleh teringin mcm tu. (ihik3). hanya bercinta slps ada ikatan yg halal, sudah tu dijodohkan melalui persetujuan keluarga. mcm cerita dulu2 and org kata pkahwinan mcm tu lebih bahagia. tp, apakan daya, sy x dipilih oleh Allah SWT utk merasai pengalaman dan nikmat sebegitu. sy sudah ditakdirkan bertemu dan bercinta dgn my other half. hehe. x apala, B cakap lepas kawen kta akan lbh bercinta. and bcinta sblm kwen x sma dgn bcinta slps kawen (wahhh adew pengalaman kewww banggggggg). ahahahhahahahha bole pulaaaaaaaaakkkkkkkkkk.

Ka'amatan

The Kaamatan festival is an annual event in the cultural life of the Kadazandusuns of Sabah since time immemorial. In its deepest sense, Kaamatan festival is a manifestation of Creator and Creation relationship, as well as Inter-Creations relationship. It embodies the principal acts of invocation of divinities, appeasing, purification and restoration, re-union of benevolent spirits, and thanksgiving to the Source of All. It is part of a complex wholesome Momolian religious system centered on the paddy rites of passage and the life cycle of Bambarayon - the in-dwelling spirit of paddy.

Appeasing is done in respect of Bambarayon, Deities, Divinities and Spirits, who may have been hurt by human wrongful, acts. Purification is performed in respect of human and spiritual needs for forgiveness followed by resolutions to make themselves worthy of the gifts of life from God. Restoration in necessary to ensure the health and well being of SUNIL, mankind and other spiritual beings. Re-union is realised in respect of human needs to be integrated in body, mind and spirit within the concept of the seven-in-one divinity in humanity, as well as re-union of Bambarayon with human Sunduan. Finally Thanksgiving is observed as befitting for all creations to express their gratitude and appreciation for the gifts of life (through Huminodun) and all life supportive system on earth that their Creator lovingly and generously gave them.

Etymology

The word Kaamatan is derived from the root word tomot, a Kadazandusun term for harvest. In the context of this article, Kaamatan refers to the paddy-harvesting period, which involves a series of traditional rituals culminating finally to the Kaamatan (harvest) festival. Tadau kaamatan is a cele bration for the people who celebrate tadau kaamatan. 

Rituals 

The festival is observed in 6 rituals stages:

The Kumogos Ceremony

Before a harvest begins, a Bobohizan/Bobolian (ritual specialist) will select and tie-up 7 stalks of the best rice from a plot of rice field. These stakes of rice will only be harvested after the particular plot of field has been completely harvested. The 7 stalks of rice will then be scattered all over the rice field. This gesture is to inform the other spirits who may be present among the rice field not to make any disturbance when the harvesting work is to commenced and each of them will be given something after the harvest.

The Kumotob Ceremony

From the area which has not yet been harvested to the Bobohizan/Bobolian will select 7 stalks of the best rice. The selected stalks are then tied up together and placed in a tadang (a type of basket for keeping rice). The rest of the rice in the field are then harvested and the rice are turned into seed for future planting season.

The Posisip Ceremony

  

The Bobohizan/Bobolian goes to a rice hut together with the 7 stalks of rice which is tied up and placed in the tadang. While reciting chants she takes out the bundle of rice stalks and insert them in a bamboo pole kept in the tangkob. The recital of the chants is to call the spirit of the rice to stay in the rice hut until the next planting season, i.e. when the rice spirits are called to the rice field again.

The Poihib Ceremony

In the rice hut the Bobohizan/Bobolian carefully pours the rice into the tangkob. This process is repeated for a number of times until all the rice has poured into the tangkob. The Bobohizan/Bobolian then recite chants appealing to the rice spirits to keep watch over the rice stored in the tangkob.

The Magavau Ceremony

This is the most important ceremony in the sequence of events of the harvest festival. This focuses in the restoration of Bambarayon as well as offering food to Bambarayon. In the olden days, the Magavau ritual is performed in the padi field on the night of the first full moon after the harvest. Nowadays, this ritual is carried out in the house of the owner of the field.

The Humabot Ceremony

This is the final stage of the observation of the harvest festival and is in the form of merry-making and entertainment. This ceremony is now celebrated at village, district and state levels annually (30 - 31 May). A variety of entertainment and activities in the form of dances and traditional sports are held and the climax of the event is the selection of the Unduk Ngadau (Harvest Festival Queen). The Unduk Ngadau symbolizes Huminodun, the sacrificed daughter of Kinorohingan.

The rituals described above are typical of the Kadazan-Dusun of the Penampang-Papar area. Other dusunic groups, the murutic groups of the interior and the paitanic groups in the east have different rice harvest rituals. For example, the Lotud Dusun have a series of eight ceremonies - Mansalud, Monuras, Tumakau, Matang, Mongoi Rumali, Mogimpuun, Sumondod and Monumbui. The essence of this ceremony however is the same, that is of thanksgiving for a plentiful harvest. 

Celebration

With the decline in practice of this animistic religion and the rise of monotheistic religions such as Christianity and Islam among the Kadazan and Dusun people in Sabah, much of the ritualistic aspects of Kaamatan are being left out of the celebration although in some places they may still be practiced. Kaamatan is celebrated around the final week of May every year peaking on the 30th and 31st which is a public holiday in Sabah. Kaamatan is often accompanied with Sugandoi, a singing/karaoke contest, Unduk Ngadau, a beauty pageant, and drinking alcohol.
